Terms & Conditions 

Candidate must be of British or European decent.

Candidate can be living in the UK or in a European country.

Candidate legal gender must be female

Miss - must be a minimum 17 year old to 27 years old. Can have children. Must not be married. Can be divorced.

Ms - must be a minimum of 28 years old to 65 years old. Can have children, be single, separated or divorced.

Mrs - This lady can have children and must be legally married. Minimum age is legal marriage age of 16 and maximum age 65 years. 

 

Candidate must embrace our motto "Believe in yourself. Be you", their own platform and the charity Abbie's army at least once a week until the European finals.

Candidate must be able to access the stage safely without aid and walk without aid during the contest. 

 

1. Bonus Points

As of 2020 Bonus points are no longer included into the any European Final

This includes appearances and fundraising. 

 

 

2. Code of Conduct

 

Candidate shall be a person whose background is not likely to bring in to disrepute any of the Crown & Glory titles or any person associated with them. Candidate affirms that she is and will continue to be a person of good moral character; that she has not committed and will not commit any act inconsistent with the highest standards of public morals and conventions or that will reflect unfavourably on the pageant, its representatives or sponsors. 

Candidate will conduct herself in a courteous, professional manner at all times during the Crown & Glory Pageant and after should she win the title.

Candidate will not slander or libel other contestants, judges, Pageant and staff. Defamatory verbal and/or written remarks against any Crown & Glory pageant will result in immediate disqualification, forfeiture of any and all prizes and awards won. Should prizes but unobtainable, Contestant must replace all prizes or the total monetary value as per the sponsors price for each item. 

Any Candidate found publicly posting slanderous remarks on public forums, social networking sites or any other public domain will be immediately disqualified. Legal action may be taken if the remarks cause problems within the pageant and its ability to create the event. We are a registered limited company and trade marked. We reserve the right to take legal action should we need to.

Good sportsmanship is expected at all times. Disruptive behaviour before, during, or after the pageant may result in disqualification and removal from the premises.

 

 

3. Limitation of Liability / Responsibility

a) All Candidate under 18 years, as of the start of the Pageant, must be accompanied at all events.

b) The parent or legal guardian will bear their own costs for all expenses including travel and accommodation for themselves and Candidate.

c) All Crown & Glory winners must not compete in another national or international contracted pageant competition during their reign however can compete in charity pageants and glitz pageants especially if they are active with their title.

Modelling competitions which requires no contract after and like competitions online are permitted. Online competitions are also permitted as a queen. 

The title holder must give up their title before entering in another national or international pageant. Should you compete in another national or international pageant without informing your director or asking, your title will be handed down automatically to the next highest scoring lady; with all prizes; as seen in number 2 code of conduct.

d) Should any queen enter and be accepted into another pageant before handing down their title without confirming with the director first may result in the title being removed. 

e) Winner retreat hotel & breakfast accommodation in Portugal will be funded by Crown & Glory pageants for all 18+ queens and must be attended. No attendance will result in this prize not being replaced by another.

Flights, transport, food and spends to be covered by each queen and will not be covered by Crown & Glory Pageants.

All queens must cover the costs of flights, travel to the destination, food, external activities and beverages.

Should Crown & Glory pageants not receive enough entries to cover the retreat fully, the retreat will still happen should queens be happy to cover their own costs. 

 

f) Crown & Glory pageants hold no responsibility should a queen not able to travel or take part in the retreat or any prizes/opportunities given. 

4. Crown & Glory Pageant Entrants agree:

 

a) To attend the Crown & Glory pageant finals the following year if selected as the winner.

b) If selected as a Crown & Glory winner of the grand finals, queens agree make a minimum of 20 appearances throughout her year’s reign as approved by the director of the pageant. Appearances may include but are not limited to parades; radio, television and newspaper interviews; public appearances at events and online campaigns.

 

c) Crown & Glory winners are expected to give their time and energy to this title, and this title only during their year’s reign. Should there be no attempt of any promotion or appearances of your title during your reign we have the right to dethrone you and hand the title to the first runner up, should she choose to accept it; however if you are not able to full-fill your duties you must inform us and we will hand down the title to the next highest placing lady to represent the title, unless you keep in touch and speak with your director throughout. This includes ignoring or not taking into consideration regarding the pageant, or any correspondence from directors of Crown & Glory members.

d) That Crown & Glory is not responsible for negligence or fraud on the part of pageant sponsors, judges, contestants or contract vendors (e.g., photographer, videographer, etc.) who may be providing products or services to delegates and winners at any Crown & Glory pageant.

e) That Crown & Glory pageants are not responsible for negligence or fraud on the part of the host venue.

f) That Crown & Glory pageants are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage caused to any and all prizes, gifts, and awards bestowed upon entrant after these items become the property of entrant. Entrant agrees to incur replacement and/or repair costs to lost, stolen, or damaged items including but not limited to: crown/tiara, sash, plaques, trophies, etc. 

g) That the date/venue of the pageant is subject to change and in such a case, the entrant is not eligible for a refund.

h) That prizes given by Crown & Glory pageant Sponsors to prize winners are not the responsibility of Crown & Glory pageants and cannot be held liable for any sponsor not fulfilling their prizes to winners. 

i) That Candidate under 18 years will be accompanied at all times during the finals by a female parent or legal guardian and they are the sole responsibility of the parent/legal guardian. They are not the responsibility of Crown & Glory Pageants and must not leave the venue or the contestant.

 

5. Entry Fee & Payments

 

Candidate sash will be ordered upon securing their entry with a non refundable deposit and entry made official online after payment to the Crown & Glory pageants.

Candidate non refundable deposit reserves an area title/placement for a period of one month. If full payment is not received by the end of the one month period, the place will be awarded to another contestant, unless the director is in contact with the contestant/parent/guardian. Should a fully paid contestant decide not to compete, no monies will be refunded, including their deposit if any placed.

Crown & Glory Pageants accepts no responsibility for queens or Candidate travel, clothes, food or hotel for any finals including all Crown & Glory pageants.


All parents/friends/family/guardians of all winners must fund their own travel, hotel, food and clothes. Crown & Glory Pageants hold no responsibility for covering these costs or arrangements.

 

6. Refund Policy

 

All fees paid to Crown & Glory are NOT REFUNDABLE and NOT TRANSFERABLE in full or in part in any circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to entry fees, advertising fees, pageant admission ticket sales fees, guest meal fees and any other fees paid to the Crown & Glory by anyone including, but not limited to, delegates, sponsors, and advertisers. 

 

7. Photography & Videography – Minors

 

All over 18 Delegates and Adults accompanying Delegates, who are under 18 years of age as of the pageant date, authorise the right for Photography & Videography to be used by Crown & Glory pageant and Abbie's army; this includes internet, websites, printed publications and all events. 

 

8. Disqualification / Title Relinquishment

If queen or contestant is disqualified or relinquishes, for any reason, any title awarded to her, all prizes must be returned in full, and in condition received.

Should this not be the case, the contestant and queen is required to pay in full the cost of replacing all prizes for the next contestant/queen.

9. Travel

 

All queens and contestants are to make their own travel arrangements. Crown & Glory is not responsible for arranging travel or intervening / resolving disputes involving travel to the pageant competition.

 

10.Hotel

 

Contestant, queens and their families must make their own hotel reservations and arrangements. 

11. Publicity and Promotion

 

By virtue of participation in the Crown & Glory Pageant, contestant agrees to allow the chosen charity Abbie's army the right to use her name, likeness, voice and/or biographical information for purposes of publicity and promotion now and in the future. Contestant understands that her name, likeness, voice, and/or biographical information may be used on the Internet, in print advertising, press releases and merchandise related to the Crown & Glory may be used for publicity and promotion by Crown & Glory, the delegate must own the copyright to these images or have obtained permission prior to submission. Contestant agrees to release Crown & Glory from liability for any injury resulting from publicity and promotion. Contestant agrees to waive any and all compensation for use of her name, likeness, voice, and /or biographical information for purposes of publicity and promotion.

 

12. Agreement

Crown & Glory Pageant Candidate/title holder/parents/guardian agrees to abide by the above rules. If an Candidate/title holder/parent/guardian fails to abide by the above rules and/or brings Crown & Glory into disrepute, for which a decision will be made at the Director’s digression. Crown & Glory Director has the right to terminate the entrants contract immediately, reclaim the entrants sash and crown and authorise the deletion of all photos containing the Crown & Glory Sash & Crown & Glory crown. (Title holder includes all titles awarded to any girl in all divisions)

Upon entering and upon winning a title, a parent/guardian agrees to be above terms and conditions. Should a parent/guardian bring the pageant into disrepute, the pageant director will take it upon the pageant committee and has the rights to terminate the agreement for the child.

 

By submitting the entry form and fee(s) to Crown & Glory, Candidate/parent/guardian agree to abide by all policies, rules and regulations set forth by Crown & Glory on this website

 

All charity monies raised for "Abbie's Army" charity number 1149400 must be handed in by the pageant deadline. This deadline will be the pageant date unless stated otherwise, should any monies not be handed in for some reason and discussed with directors pageant, money can be arranged to be handed in following the date. Should monies raised not be handed in by the agreed date further action will be taken for keeping monies fundraised for the appeal. 

 

Should no monies fundraised for the appeal not be given to the appeal at any date, contestant in question will be banned from all Crown & Glory pageants and the right authorities informed. 

Directors will keep all matters quiet unless asked about the situation then the director is in his/her right to explain the situation, post on social media and in the media. 

All monies raised must be put into a just giving account linked to Abbie's Army Just giving before the date given by pageant director.

No charity money should be transferred to a director/organiser or someone else to send for you, should this happen ensure you are giving proof the charity money has immediately reached the charities just giving account or directly to Abbie's army bank account with Amanda Mifsud.

Crown & Glory pageant will no longer accept any fundraising via cash. 

No go fund me pages or Facebook charity donations should be used under any circumstances and cheques are not accepted. Should a cheque be given, this must be cleared into your just giving account before the charity hand in date given by director. 

Direct transfer to Abbie's army if necessary is accepted with written proof from Abbie's Army before the hand in date. Just giving pages are the only and preferred method of fundraising. Facebook fundraising, E-bay fundraising and cash are not accepted.

Child protection Policy.

Crown & Glory Pageant operates a strict child protection policy to ensure the safety of all our contestants.  It is important to read this policy carefully and contact either Director should you have any questions or concerns. 

Crown and Glory pageants accepts contestants from the age of 5 years old and is aware of the obligations to help safeguard children and young people. 

Parents/Legal Guardians will be made aware when the enter their child into Crown & Glory of our child protection policy as well as being e-mailed about any changes/updates that may happen.  Parents/Legal Guardians will also be informed at the event of the policy and asked to re-read and sign to say that they understand and agree.

Parental responsibility:

Before anyone under the age of 18 can enter the competition, they must have written consent from a parent or legal Guardian, who is confirming they have read this policy and are aware of what the pageant involves.

Mother and or female legal guardian always have full responsibility to look after their child or persons under 18.  This includes during the show where they are expected to be in the changing rooms, however, can watch their child onstage, so they can show their support.

Parents or legal guardians must not accept responsibility for looking after anyone else’s child for any time frame.

Children’s physical and mental health is very important to us and we would appreciate it if parents/Guardians could disclose any challenges their children may be facing.  If it is deemed that taking part in the pageant could further damage the child’s health in anyway, then the appropriateness of their participation will be investigated.  All decisions will be made by Hannah Tordoff and Hannah Travers after a discussion with the Parent/Legal Guardian and the decision will be final.

Rounds:

All parents are aware that rounds consists of Interview, opening dance, Fun Fashion, be you round & Evening gowns.  All outfits during each round must be age appropriate and contestants will be marked down if this is not the case.  In extreme cases the child/young person may not be allowed to participate in the show.

Be You wear will replace the swimwear round for under 18’s.  Be You wear must not be anything that resembles a swimming costume for example gymnastics leotards. 

 

 

 

Contractors & Volunteers:

As parents are always to be present, this event does not require our contractors & Volunteers to be DBS checked.  However, upon starting their day, they will have a discussion with Hannah Travers who is currently in charge of safe guarding about signs to look out for and how to report any behaviour they are concerned about.

Contractors & Volunteers will never be left alone with a child/children at any time.

Any concerns raised by parents regarding helpers will be taken seriously and investigated straight away.  Contractor &/or Volunteer will be removed from the event while an investigation takes place.

 

Photography and live streaming of event:

Before the event we must have every contestant’s permission for photography and live streaming.  Where a parent/guardian does not wish for photos to be taken or live stream of their child’s performance we will ensure this does not happen.  We will also ensure that at the beginning of the event that we advise spectators that photography is not allowed during the show.

 

All parents/guardians must sign to approve that Crown & Glory Pageants may use photos taken at the show and the contestant workshop the night before can be used for promotional purposes.
